Wednesday, January 13, 2016 1:35 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote That was NEVER ever fixed. Set the registry entry for Generalization State to 73. This solved my problem in a matter of minutes. I believe, "technically" that it only happens if you choose Home or Work, but not Public.

Tried 5 times till now. Rather annoying but just glad I've got it fixed. I ran sysprep.exe and it gave me an error. Funny, we didn't have it in some installations, but now all of a sudden it pops up.

But the "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" solution worked just fine.A note: The build 7000 did not have this error.

Reboot your computer.

sysprep worked after a reboot. I capture the image using Clonezilla and reboot. So I searched around and found out it was the WMP service preventing it from working. I just ran into it today, and disabling the aforementioned service fixes the issue.

There was no documentation on how to move the DIT, the core of ADS's information. That said, I Disabeled it and clicked OK then started Sysprep immediately. It is interesting how this thread dates back to 2009 and how another poster writes that this issue was fixed in Windows 7 RTM; I was running sysprep on a notebook Come on Microsoft, get stuff like this fixed. The specified module could not be found Error loading drmv2clt.dll. I am guessing that this might have something to do with the system not being able to starting the services but I am not sure.
